NAV CANADA has announced that there are additional benefits for the North in its final user fee package which has received statutory approval from the Minister of Transport.
This statutory approval, confirming that the fees are consistent with the charging principles in the Civil Air Navigation Services Commercialization Act, enables NAV CANADA to become completely independent of government funding on November 1, 1998, when the Air Transportation Tax (ATT) will be abolished.
