Sep. 23--MONTGOMERY SECURITIES EXEC LEAVES FIRM: Jerome "Jerry" Markowitz resigned Tuesday from NationsBanc Montgomery Securities, the first confirmed departure among senior partners of the firm in the wake of the Monday resignation of Thom Weisel.
Markowitz, 59, was a member of the firm's executive committee and a senior managing director of capital markets. His resignation, following disputes with NationsBank executives over who should run key business units, is effective immediately.
