Sep. 24--HERALD WINS AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE: The Monterey County Herald won the general excellence award in its circulation category at the 73rd California Newspaper Advertising Executive Association meeting in Lake Tahoe.
The Herald won the general excellence honor for the 15th time in the past 16 years. It won 10 first place awards and six seconds for daily newspapers with circulation between 20,000 and 49,999.
Coordinators for the winning sections were Sandee Coppin, June Cash, Jeannie Marino, Cathie Fox, Bob Lucas, Bill Sigel, Virginia Villar-Bennett, Jill Seidman, Toni Richardson, Pam Dozier, Peter S. ...
