Sep. 26--Garden Ridge President Jack Lewis announced Friday he is leaving the company to "pursue other interests."

Lewis will complete his tenure at Garden Ridge Corp. -- where he has worked as president and chief operating officer since 1990 -- on Thursday.

"While I have chosen to pursue other career opportunities at this juncture, I will continue to retain a significant equity interest in Garden Ridge," Lewis said in a written statement. "I am highly confident that the company is well positioned for future growth and progress."
