Oct. 5--BLACKFOOT, Idaho--David Steffler collects metal from car parts and scrap piles to create the weather vanes and flower basket holders that his Blackfoot welding business ships throughout the world.
When he opened Steel Crazy a year ago, a lot of people didn't know what the Judicial Street garage was going to produce, he said. Steffler and his sister, Annette, were welding almost eight hours a day until their storefront window was filled with curved metal poles and cut-outs of animals.
