BOSTON, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Jim Koch, founder of the Boston Beer Company, brewers of Samuel Adams beers, is pleased to announce the promotion of Roberta A. Merkel to Vice President of Brand Development. In her new position, Ms. Merkel, who is known as Bobbi, will oversee the development of all marketing communications for Samuel Adams, and will work with the Brand Managers of Oregon Ale & Beer Company and HardCore Cider Company, two divisions of Boston Beer Company.
