MANHATTAN -- Deborah Briggs, professor and director of the rabies lab at Kansas State University, recently received the Guide Dog Users Inc. Access Partners Award.
Briggs received the award in recognition of her service to blind people and their guide dogs. Her expert testimony in a law suit against the state of Hawaii won service dogs the opportunity to enter Hawaii without a quarantine.
