Oct. 6--Rose Jennings found out she had colon cancer and was sure her life was over. The only two people she knew who had been diagnosed with the disease had died quickly.
"I immediately thought I was going to die," said Jennings, 42, of Voorhees, N.J., who has no history of cancer in her family but has suffered from Crohn's disease, an ailment of the small intestine, for 20 years. "I had learned to live with Crohn's disease, but this was something that could kill me."
