NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE FEATURES)--Oct. 14, 1998--When investigating external influences on young people aged eight to 17, the 1998 Roper Youth Report found a definite difference between lifestyle choices, which are mainly driven by friends, and life choices, which are largely influenced by parents. Yet, in all trended categories, the influence of friends has increased since 1997 among both teens and preteens.
