WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The nation's largest telecommunications trade union and several major U.S. companies agree that the SBC-Ameritech merger will benefit customers and employees through increased competition and growth.
The Communications Workers of America and customers including Compaq Computer Corporation, Levi Strauss & Co., AMOCO, Bank One Corporation and others expressed strong support for the merger in comments filed at the Federal Communications Commission.
