KIMBERLY, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1998--U.S. efforts to practice cultural imperialism in Japan could cause a shock that would rock Main Street, U.S.A., a California money manager warned Tuesday night.
Jack K. Heilbron, president of Centurion Counsel Inc., in Rancho Bernardo, Calif., said the U.S. government is rightfully concerned with the problems of Japan's banks.
"But we shouldn't be practicing cultural imperialism by insisting that the Japanese government close down the troubled banks in that country," Heilbron said.
