Oct. 20--STATE, FEDERAL LAWS PROHIBIT HIRING DECISIONS BASED ON SEX:
QUESTION: I am so tired of hearing about sexual harassment, violence in the workplace and all the other problems, which I believe are caused by too many men in the work force. If the Girl Scouts can exclude boys, why can't I just stop hiring men?

ANSWER: Aside from the practical and ethical dilemmas such a policy would present, state and federal law clearly prohibit making hiring decisions based on the applicant's sex.
