WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Dexter Corporation (NYSE: DEX) today announced that it intends to commence a tender offer, for $37 per share in cash, for all outstanding shares of common stock of Life Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: LTEK) that it does not currently own.
Dexter Corporation, a leading specialty materials producer, currently owns approximately 52 percent of Life Technologies' outstanding common shares. On July 7, 1998, Dexter proposed a cash tender offer and subsequent merger in which it would acquire the minority Life Technologies shares for $37 per share with the approval of Life Technologies' Board of Directors.
