Rock Financial Corp., Bingham Farms, prides itself on letting its local operations people run their own shows.
But when 35 executives and operating managers got together for a weekend of meetings and 'experiential' training at TeamWorks, the Kalkaska training and conference center, they learned something important. It became clear that, in the presence of CEO Dan Gilbert, President Steve Stone and CFO Lindsay Gross, the company's troops were reluctant to take first steps on their own.
