Oct. 27--Republican Jeb Bush and Democrat Buddy MacKay sound amazingly alike on business issues: Both want to cut red tape, bring jobs to inner cities and help small businesses.
So support for Bush or MacKay among members of the business community tends to fall along party lines.
Traditionally Republican-leaning trade associations, hellbent on tort reform, are behind Bush. Restaurant, retail and small-business groups say the health of Florida's economy depends on limiting liability awards.
