SAN JOSE, Calif., and BOULDER, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1998--Sony Electronics and Pluto Technologies International Inc. are working together on the development of an MPEG-based multi-channel server for DTV production and transmission.
Pluto is developing an easy-to-operate, non-linear MPEG server system for SDTV operation that is based on Sony's MPEG technology. First shipments of product are anticipated for the second half of 1999 and a prototype model is targeted to be shown at NAB `99.
