THE PRICE OF CRUDE SULFATE TURPENTINE has dropped by 15 cents, effective October 1, to $1.50 per gallon. The decrease follows a 10 cent decline last quarter--the product's first in more than three years.

Analysts arc uncertain whether the CST price has bottomed out and will turn around or whether the product will continue its downward spiral. Pricing for next year remains uncertain, but all market participants agree that the CST market is tied to the health of the global economy.
