Xerox Corp.'s Xerox DocuPrint XJ6C, with an economical average mail-order price of $174, is physically identical to the Okidata OkiJet 2500, and it also shares some of the same below-average performance and output ratings. Its consumable costs, on the other hand, are above average.
Like the Okidata, the Xerox provides a flush front--and therefore more usable space--at the front of the unit. The cover lifts to expose an illustration of how to switch ink tanks. As with the Okidata, we were unable to load the Xerox's ink tanks without spilling ink.
