NEW YORK, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard & Poor's today assigned its double-'A' rating to Purdue University Board of Trustees, Ind.'s $69 million student fee bonds series P and $12 million certificates of participation series 1998, both dated Nov. 1, 1998 due July 1, 2028, and issued for Purdue University. The bonds and certificates are scheduled to sell Nov. 10, 1998.

At the same time, Standard & Poor's affirmed its double-'A' rating on the trustees' $119.52 million in outstanding bonds and certificates, also issued for Purdue University. Standard & Poor's also affirmed its 'A-1'-plus rating on Purdue University's debt.
