Oct. 31--Henry Price is hoping against hope that the 1 million or so Hoosiers who opened their mail in the past week didn't just throw away the legal notice they got about a lawsuit against Ameritech.
"I really pity the poor consumer who must attempt to make sense out of that notice," says the Indianapolis attorney, who represents customers in litigation against Ameritech.
Price said that Ameritech owes at least $100 million in cash compensation to Indiana customers who paid for the company's maintenance plan for inside phone wires even though they allegedly hadn't signed up for the service.
