A recent study found no significant differences in immunization rates between rural and urban children in the United States.
Childhood immunization rates are suboptimal, especially in high-risk populations in the U.S. Rural residents could constitute a population at high risk for childhood underimmunization, noted N.E. Lowery and colleagues at Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. But little is known about demographic factors associated with childhood underimmunization.
