Agrilink Foods, Inc., Rochester, NY, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pro-Fac Cooperative, has completed its acquisition of the Dean Foods Vegetable Co. of Dean Foods Co., Franklin Park, IL (see FOOD INSTITUTE REPORT, Aug. 3, page 1).
Unable to reach an agreement as to the terms of the deal, Archer Daniels Midland Co., Decatur, IL, and its proposed acquisition partner, GRUMA, S.A. de C.V. have ended negotiations with International Multifoods Corp., Minneapolis, MN, for the acquisition of Venezuela Foods (see FOOD INSTITUTE REPORT, Aug. 24, page 7).
