SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 2, 1998--Tulare County earned final designation as a Targeted Tax Area, Trade and Commerce Agency Secretary Lee Grissom announced today, paving the way for a host of tax incentives and inducements at the state and local level.
"The designation gives Tulare County's economic development practitioners a critical tool to assist in luring new business investment," said Secretary Grissom. "Targeted Tax Areas are patterned after a successful Enterprise Zone Program, which over the past 10 years has created and retained nearly 100,000 jobs in California."
