The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has, once again, modified its guidelines for environmental marketing claims. The revisions, effective immediately, reflect current consumer perceptions about the meanings of the terms 'recyclable,' 'recycled' and 'compostable.'
The Commission has also clarified that the guides apply to marketing of services, as well as products and packages, and covers all forms- of marketing, including digital or electronic media, such as the Internet.
