Refrigerant-side services now available from outside sources range from routine services, such as high-speed recovery, to on-site removal of excess mineral oil, moisture, rust, chemicals, and other contaminants.
Many of these can be performed on-line in most cases, a particularly important benefit when avoiding downtime is critical.
One hvac contractor, Southern Air, Boston, has begun using a subcontractor to do all of the refrigerant-side service work on many of its chiller service projects.
