Nov. 3--Losing its right to print the union label wasn't the only thing that drove Franklin Printing out of business in July, owner Irene Colvin said.
But it certainly didn't help.
"It had a very adverse effect on my business," Ms. Colvin said.
Franklin, a four-person shop in Depew, was one of four unionized printers that lost their union label privileges in the past year in what some believe is a struggle between rival printing unions.
"Where all this is coming from is a power play," Ms. Colvin said.
