Article: Belo Announces Voluntary Early Retirement Program at The Dallas Morning News.

DALLAS, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Belo (NYSE: BLC) announced today that The Dallas Morning News will offer a voluntary early retirement package to employees age 55 and over with at least five years of service, or who are over age 62. Those accepting the package would retire effective December 31, 1998.

The retirement incentive program is part of The Morning News' on-going review of its operations and organizational structure. It is possible that other staff reductions will be made following the expiration of the early retirement offer.
