Move Marks Best Bond Rating From S&P Since 1978
HARRISBURG, Pa., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Standard and Poor's (S&P) Corp. today became the final of the three major Wall Street bond-rating agencies to upgrade Pennsylvania's bond rating since the start of the Ridge Administration.
"Now, all three major Wall Street bond-rating companies agree that Pennsylvania is on firm financial footing and prepared for the 21st century," said Gov. Ridge. "This is more good news for the 'New Pennsylvania' and more reaffirmation that this Commonwealth is moving in the right direction."
