SAN DIEGO, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Hoechst Marion Roussel's new oral rheumatoid arthritis medication, Arava, significantly reduced the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), according to a study presented today at the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) annual meeting in San Diego, Calif. Arava is a disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) that was approved for marketing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in September for the treatment of adults with active rheumatoid arthritis.
