WASHINGTON, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Robert D. Krebs, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp. (BNSF), has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the Association of American Railroads (AAR). He served in the same capacity in 1995.

Mr. Krebs was elected at AAR's board meeting here today. He will succeed David R. Goode, chairman, president and CEO of Norfolk Southern Corp., on January 1.
