PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 12, 1998--Textron Inc. today announced it has named Peter G. Wilson president of Textron Fastening Systems (TFS) Europe, effective January 1, 1999. Based in England, Wilson will oversee 23 operations across Europe with over 5,500 employees and revenues exceeding $700 million.
Wilson, 53, recently led Textron's $450 million worldwide Turf Care and Specialty Products group, a Textron unit that was created following the January 1998 acquisition of UK-based Ransomes plc and its integration with US-based turf care machinery manufacturer Jacobsen Textron.
