FORT WORTH, Texas, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, has exercised eight of its 25 options for the 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 jet.
This aircraft order, combined with the original firm order for 42 jets, brings American Eagle's total commitments for the ERJ-145 to 50 aircraft. American Eagle has received 16 ERJ-145 jets thus far and will continue to receive them at the rate of two per month. The airline will not begin receiving the order it placed for 25 70-seat Canadair CRJ 700s until 2001.
