Over the next few years, you have the opportunity to decide whether to donate your blood, bone marrow, or organs. Are you willing to give the gift of life?
Consider these statistics:
* Ninety-seven percent of the people in the United States will receive blood at some point in their lives.
* Each year, 30,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with a blood disease, and for many of them a bone marrow transplant is the only hope.
* More than 50,000 people in the U.S. are waiting for organ transplants.
