HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 1998--TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (OSLO:TGS) (TGS-NOPEC) announces the start of three new non-exclusive 3D seismic surveys in the Viosca Knoll, Destin Dome, and DeSoto Canyon areas of the Gulf of Mexico. These surveys will provide oil and gas explorationists with more than 2100 square miles of new non-exclusive 3-D data before the end of 1999.
Acquisition began on Oct. 13, 1998 on the Eastern Gulf 1 3-D non-exclusive survey, which encompasses 105 OCS blocks (945 sq. mi.) in the Viosca Knoll and Destin Dome areas of the Gulf of Mexico. This project is adjacent to an additional 125 blocks of 3-D data recently acquired by ...
