BOSTON, Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company today announced the promotion of Marc Smith to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new position, Mr. Smith will have overall management responsibility for store operations, sales and procurement, marketing and merchandising and new business ventures.
