Today's gene therapy business looks "bleak," admits Bruce A. Hironaka, but the future looks much brighter.
Hironaka, vice president of corporate development at Cell Genesys, Inc. presented his outlook on growth opportunities at last week's third annual Gene Therapy and Genomics meeting at the Westin Horton Plaza in San Diego.
"There will be a significant demand for gene therapy," Hironaka said in a cheery introductory greeting. But he didn't hesitate to admit "it's a tough market."
