DR. Kevorkian is gleeful about his role in life and death. Up until this last time around, he would rig things so that the person at death's door would himself/herself finally activate the killing agent. But in the matter of Thomas Youk, Kevorkian provided all the necessary services. He was the trigger man, if you view it that way; the executioner, if you prefer. By any account, what he did resulted in the death of Thomas Youk.
The whole situation was arranged with lavish histrionic care. The home movie first detailed the agony of Youk's life. He was suffering from Lou Gehrig's disease and by all appearances was all but lifeless. ...
