HOUSTON, December 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Waste Management, Inc. (NYSE: WMI) announced today an agreement to settle a consolidated, class action lawsuit against Waste Management Holdings, Inc., its recently acquired subsidiary. Waste Management Holdings, Inc. was formerly known as Waste Management, Inc. until its merger in July, 1998 with a subsidiary of USA Waste Services, Inc., which then changed its name to Waste Management, Inc.
