Dec. 9 -- SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- VALVE, FITTINGS FIRM PLANS NEW PLANT, JOBS: Hoke Inc., which makes industrial valves and fittings, will move to a new 100,000-square-foot facility in Spartanburg County and add 75 employees this spring.
Hoke, which now has 220 workers, will be the first tenant in the Fairforest Park industrial complex. About 40 of the new jobs are for highly skilled workers, the company said Monday.
Vice President Barry Taylor said the relocation is possible because the company was acquired earlier this year by Watts Industries Inc. of Massachusetts, which makes valves for the plumbing, heating, ...
