NEW YORK, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Pointing to procedural abuses, violations of due process, withholding of information and a series of other prejudicial actions in an investigation against the firm, KPMG Peat Marwick LLP filed a lawsuit today against the California State Board of Accountancy, the state Department of Consumer Affairs and various officials of both groups.
The complaint was filed by KPMG in Sacramento superior court after a formal accusation was issued against the accounting, tax and consulting firm and several individuals by the State Board, in what KPMG describes as the Board's "purported investigation" into the Orange County bankruptcy.
