Despite the advent of the Internet, CD-ROMs and digital TV, new analysis from The Henley Centre published today says that we are unlikely to spend much more of our leisure time or money on the media in 2003 than we did in 1986. And, although as a nation we spend over 61 hours a week captivated by the TV, books, magazines, newspapers, cinema, radio, CDs and our computers and games consoles the media only accounts for 4% of our expenditure, or GBP 442 this year.
