Student transition from school or work to college is a complex and challenging process. Many experiences are common among first-time freshmen, such as confusion over the enrollment process, concerns about finances, and the need to balance their lives in and away from college. Nevertheless, there can be striking differences in the transition process for White, Black, and Hispanic students.
