Compared to the other lines of business, the garment industry is highly attractive to investors amidst the current crisis. Data with Data Consult shows that for the first ten months of 1998, the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) approved at least 35 projects in the garment industry. In the overall textiles industry, which includes yarn and fabric production, the total number of projects approved during the same period was 70.
