Dec. 28 -- TEST TRACK READY TO PUT RUBBER TO THE ROAD: After three years of anticipation, Test Track may finally open in Epcot next month and become Walt Disney World's fastest and longest thrill ride.

General Motors and Disney announced in February 1996 that they would build a ride that recreates the rigors of a GM vehicle-testing facility.

On Test Track, riders will go through sudden braking, fast turns, steep inclines and rapid acceleration to a maximum of 65 mph.
