TMD has introduced the PTM6597 switched mode power supply, designed to drive medium power ring loop or helix travelling wave tubes (TWTs) operating at duty cycles up to 10 percent. Featuring a last high PRF modulator with a very short throughput delay (typically 40 ns), the PTM6597 is optimised for pulsed radar and EW applications. Its small size and compact design means that weight has been kept to only 7 kg maximum.
