Since it is unlikely that you have many subscribers living in France, I feel an obligation to report on how the homesteader life exists in my little corner of Europe. I do live a "Countryside" life in the tiny village of Fontaine, which means "fountain", but the fountain in the center of the Place de Liberation is now used as a flower planter.
Fontaine is in Eure-et-Loir, named for two rivers which flow through it. The village is located a couple hundred miles northwest of Paris and another couple hundred miles from the Normandy peninsula. Chartres is the largest city in this department (state). I haven't mastered kilometers or the French language yet, but I'm ...
