In addition to the problems of poverty, some students suffer untold harm as a result of learning disabilities
Successful American artist, Pat Buckley Moss, says when she started school she first was described as inattentive, then a slow learner, and finally stupid. She has dyslexia, a common learning disorder. She knew she wasn't stupid, but she spent a lot of time in the principal's office, and dreaded taking her report cards home.
