HOLLOMAN AFB, N.M.-The pilots and ground crews of the 49th Fighter Wing here have labored extensively to improve the accuracy of the Lockheed Martin [LMT] F-117 stealth fighter aircraft over its already well-lauded precision. As technology and training have improved, the unit has tightened its criteria to hit "no collateral damage" (NCD) designated targets in which pinpoint accuracy is intended to try to avoid damage to nearby structures and limit civilian casualties.
