The Akron area is proving to be fertile ground for MB Kit Systems Ltd., an 18-month-old company that has been introducing a new method of building metal machinery enclosures and workbenches.
The company is the exclusive North American sales agent and distributor for a German company that has developed a metal fabrication system that one MB Kit manager likens to the use of an erector set. The German company, Industrietechnik und Maschinenbau GmbH, uses specially designed aluminum extrusions that can be put together into frames using fasteners and a minimum of metalworking.
