MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Jan. 19, 1999--The director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. Harold Varmus, announced today that the NIH has concluded that they may, under existing law, pursue and fund scientific research using derived human pluripotent stem cells.
